Cast partial denture

A cast partial denture is a removable dental prosthesis used to replace one or more missing teeth in patients with partially edentulous arches. It consists of a metal framework (usually cobalt-chromium) that provides strength and rigidity along with acrylic resin that holds artificial teeth. The main components include major and minor connectors rests direct and indirect retainers. CPDs help restore aesthetics mastication and speech while preserving remaining natural teeth and oral structures. They are durable biocompatible and cost-effective compared to fixed prostheses.
