One of the more devastating of these phrases is the notion that to the victors go the spoils. As if anyone wins in a war. Well perhaps the weapons manufacturers but I bet even they must have their moments of painful introspection. And another myth is the belief that war is inevitable. That we as a species are condemned to fight wars because of our very nature. Wrong again. War is a cultural phenomenon constructed from the fevered brains of sociopaths and a sprinkling of psychopaths. It can be stopped if enough people step forward to resist it. But who will these people be? And who will listen to them? - Doug Rawlings
