Caught Stealing

<p>Caught Stealing is a semi-autobiographical tale of greed corruption and the pursuit of justice. Based on the real-life experiences and observations of the author (who enjoyed a long career in the major leagues) many of the incidents in the novel are based upon true events.</p><p></p><p>Caught Stealing reveals the way players suffered from the greed and mismanagement of crooked agents in an era where the players' union turned a blind eye to their corruption.</p><p></p><p>The tale concerns two high school baseball players from the same school with extraordinary talent who both enter the world of professional baseball. One has his life destroyed by a corrupt agent and the other one steps forward to help his friend's wife and seek retribution against the agent responsible.</p><p></p><p>Professional sports have always been plagued by unscrupulous people looking to bleed players dry. Caught Stealing offers a clear-eyed view of an era where players had little protection and very often were swindled out of millions.</p>
