Cellulose Based Miniaturized Antenna for Wearable Transceiver
English

About The Book

Wearable antenna is the type of antenna that can be worn on any part of body or clothing’s for communication purposes. The recent availability of loss less materials with high performance parameters provides opportunities to miniaturize dual band wearable antenna for design and simulation. The dual band can be design by using different methods like slotting stubs etc. In this work a rectangular patch shape with stubs for dual operation is designed. The frequencies available freely for the operation of dual band antenna lies in ISM (Industrial Scientific and Medical) band of frequencies 2.4 GHz and 5.75 GHz. In antenna design the parameters like substrate thickness input impedance radiation efficiency bandwidth and permittivity (ɛ) are of main concern. In radio communication system antenna has very important role. The antenna designed in this study is meant for wearable applications which can be used in navigation and tracking systems. Another application area of these antennas are in health monitoring system a physicians will be able to sense the body and brain activities of a person. Antenna miniaturization is the key step towards the development of such applications.
