Censorship is a Drag

Efforts to censor materials and control programming arguably threaten to have a chilling effect on libraries' ability to carry out their core missions. </span><em style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(64 64 64 1)>Censorship Is a Drag: LGBTQ Materials and Programming Under Siege in Libraries</em><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(64 64 64 1)> pulls together contributions from across the library ecosystem exploring the significance of these threats and how librarians have responded offering an intellectual and practical toolkit in tandem with lessons with experience to help libraries make their way through this new intellectual climate.</span></p><p></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>Jason D. Phillips is an Associate Librarian / Social Sciences Librarian in the Research Engagement Department at the University of Central Florida. He serves as subject librarian and liaison to Sociology and the School of Politics Security and International Affairs.
