Struck by a constitutional decision which he considers unfair General François Bozizé launches a CPC rebel offensive on Bangui. But it was destroyed by the mercenaries of the Wagner group. President Touadéra is taking advantage of the military-political chaos to lead the 2020-2021 electoral process.Upon his re-election he wants to modify the 2016 Constitution in order to develop the Central African Republic trampled by colonialism. This decision rejected by the Court was poorly received by President Touadéra who decided to sanction certain constitutional judges and the Court became a triptych decried by the BRDC the rebel leaders and the international community.However President Touadéra supported by the Republican Front made a strong move and submitted a new law to the constitutional referendum of July 30 2023. This very popular was voted on at a rate of 95.03% paving the way to his own succession in 2025. From then on an endless political standoff began between President Touadéra and the BRDC.
