Cerebral Edema in Neuroinfections

This work shows the experience of author in the management of patients with infections of central nervous system (meningitis encephalitis meningo-encephalitis abscess or empiema of the brain). The intensive care and treatment of patients showing mental and conscience alterations due to cerebral edema is described in details. The significantly controversial role of dexamethasone in the treatment of meningitis is largely discussed.
