About The Book

Cervicarthrosic myelopathy is a group of degenerative processes affecting the cervical spine.affecting the cervical spine resulting in narrowing of the spinal canal and chronic suffering of the spinal cord.Surgical treatment is required whenever neurological deterioration continues unabated. The primary aim of treatment is to relieve myeloradicular compression by eradicating the stenosing elements of the cervical canal. This decompression can be performed posteriorly anteriorly or in combination. The choice of the best technique remains controversial. Extended cervical laminectomy without fusion has long been the treatment of choice for cervicarthrosic myelopathy whatever its origin and remains one of the most widely used surgical techniques. Numerous complications of this procedure have been described including sagittal statics disorders including kyphotic deformities and spondylolisthesis.
