César Guerra-Peixe and the Armorial Movement

About The Book

Guerra-Peixe whose work Concertino para violino e Orquestra de Câmara is discussed in this research contributed to the formulation of the aesthetic and stylistic paths of the Armorial Movement. The Armorial Movement promoted recreation in various arts by modeling the elements of popular manifestations in the Northeast. In music the aim was to create Nordestine classical music. Aiming for an interpretation based on the aesthetics and style of the Armorial Movement an analysis was made highlighting the elements of Northeastern popular music present in the work phonographic research and experimentation with the rabeca instrument. This approach served as a basis for consolidating the timbral adaptation of the sonority suggested for performance in the interpretative proposal presented in this research.
