Cessation

Amidst the backdrop of The Great Recession, Aaron, a radicalized millennial startup founder, struggles to choose between his growing success in life, and his worsening obsession with a young, mentally ill employee of his business. To the casual observer, this may seem an easy choice. But as Aaron narrates the tragic details of the life and death of the young man known only to us as Walker, and how these reflect on his own experiences and inner life, Cessation descends into a deep observation of the trappings of capitalism, a meditation on modern masculinity, and an exploration of both the limits and the redemptive power of love.
