Challenges and prospects for music teaching in schools

This paper analyzes the teaching of music in early childhood education outlining the main challenges that prevent meaningful learning and pointing out some perspectives for quality music teaching. However these challenges run through the praxis of music teaching from its influences in the family environment aspects of teacher training and school pedagogical infrastructure involving parents and teachers in this context.
