When the Elder People passed from the world they brought the Gods to watch over the Children but now the Gods themselves are threatened. In a world where magic is driven by either art or blood Chance's Children is the story of two young men brought together by the god Chance. Nicolio is a prince who has lost everything - his family his title and his freedom. Thord is a warrior bound to a god-forged ax that carries a dark curse. One is a wizard who must dance into and beyond himself to master his art. The other is a berserker striving to control a red rage that knows neither friend nor foe.
