About The Book

CHAOS: May there yet be hope is poetry for the times we live in. Previously of Neopoet acclaim Karen J Burns bursts onto the scene with her first whole collection of poetry. This lyricism which often verges on the dark side but is also witty or sarcastic on some occasions takes us on a journey from chaos to hope. A bitter pill to swallow? Yet relatable without a doubt. Like Marmite you may love or hate the emotions displayed within: from anger fear jealousy frustration sorrow despair and rage to excitement anticipation amusement joy and hope. This Chaos-inspired collection is a roller-coaster ride full speed ahead. Next stop? Depends on how you see things. Although nobody was hurt in the writing of these poems you may want to throw something at the TV (whilst watching the news). Or perhaps not. Poetry whilst emotive cathartic and inspiring should also encourage critical thinking. Karen J Burns compiled these poems to encourage others to look at the world around them to think about how they feel; and then would like to leave readers with some positivity (to help them to find a way of coping with all the chaos). Perchance you recognise the chaos swirling; yet do you see the hope? For our future is yet to be written and we are the authors of that story. Enjoy the poems and know that there is always hope (even in the pit of despair). May all sorrows go awayWhilst the chaos may swirl and stay. The sun is shining this fine dayAnd may there be hope oh lord I pray!
