Chaos at Catland and other stories

About The Book

Since time immemorial man in his stories for children has imparted intelligence and speech to animals and birds. is not only charms the children but adults also enjoy this aspect which a er all tickles the child who still resides in him behind the garb of adulthood. A child whose imagination ares in reading such stories can readily associate himself or herself with a character from these stories. He or she will learn to love the birds and animals. ese stories o en open the doors to the world of nature for the child. e child’s mind fuses the natural world with his own imagination and the outcome is the owner of a compassionate heart. In this book I have tried to make the world of cats vocal which I think will be much loved by the children. ere are a whole lot of cats in my house and for the stories ‘Chaos at Catland’ ‘ e Lonely Kitten’ and ‘Babithe Little Black Kitten’ they are my living inspiration. eir facial expressions mood swings or acute shyness have really intrigued me. Children do nd friends in animals which adults may not readily understand is shown through the story ‘ e Little Boy and the Baby Elephant’. Other birds and beasts have their own way of re ecting or dealing with problems and this factor has been highlighted in ‘Mr and Mrs Tailorbird’ ‘ e Wicked Snake’ ‘Up on the Trees’ ‘ e Deer and the Rhino’ and ‘Mother’s Love’. Religious sentiment is never an overwhelming reality in the children and at times they teach the adults an important lesson of life in their own sweetly persuasive way as seen in the story ‘A Trip to Ghurni’. I hope my stories will enthrall the children and in their appreciation lies my reward.
