Chapiadora Anatomy of a Gold Digger

A gold-digger is often associated with a marriage or attractiveness based on high status and wealth. Images abound where an alluring woman (or women) is seen in loving embrace with her well-off older (sometimes much older) beau fiance or husband. It is notably a relationship grounded on avarice and false love rather than on true love. It is precisely here where the similarities with a chapiadora begin and end in this book since I provide a rather different more nuanced conceptualization of this personality.<br /><br />To delve into the world and mind and heart of a chapiadora is to transcend a particular country culture subculture gender and even class or age. What is revealed in this book points to a much more complex and often harmful world phenomenon that too many of us are unwilling to discuss out of fear or embarrassment.<br /><br />This short story purports to be a true-to-life account. It takes a deep look into the behavior and mind-set of a chapiadora which when studied side by side I call the Anatomy of a chapiadora. It is my sincere hope that this short account will be useful in averting emotional and economic upheaval in people's lives.
