Characterisation of the newborn with toxoplasmosis

The objective of this study is to characterize the newborn with toxoplasmosis aiming to identify the means of contamination exposing the most used exams for diagnosis providing guidance on hygiene issues as well as on the need to perform exams especially prenatal in order to identify the risks and minimize the consequences of the virus action in contaminated newborns. It was also suggested the creation of a check list to be used in public health programs so that in this way there is a reduction of government costs with health expenses for children with special needs who will need health care for a long time or for life.
