CHARACTERS OF HUFFINFIELD

<p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>With the crazy edicts of the new Police Superintendent Inspector Deighton</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>is counting the days to retirement. To top it off he is assigned to</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>investigate what sounds like a prank something about a bird tethered to a</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>little girl's hat. The complainant is Lady Carmella new in town.</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Deighton pays Lady Carmella a visit. Her story prompts his recollection of a</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>case from years back. He explains the people she saw were her neighbors a</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>retired circus troupe engaging in stage pranks. He relates how their antics</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>caused quite a stir when they first moved to town. Lady Carmella wants to</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>believe him.</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Two days later the Chief Inspector returns the case to Deighton when Lady</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Carmella is found unconscious. In looking for answers Deighton finds more</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>questions.</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>The craziness ramps up. Hijinx hardened criminals meat pies racist</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>violence ex-KGB blackmail vigilantes cockroaches human cadavers</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>police corruption beheaded sheepdogs candle light vigils water hoses and</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>greenhouses...all begin to emerge. </span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Deighton needs to find out what is happening in Huffinfield.</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Not everyone wants the truth uncovered.</span></p>
