Chediak-Higashi Syndrome in Buffaloes

This study was done to identify of the Chediak-Higashi Syndrome in Iraqi local buffaloes and to detect of the LYST gene which cause this syndrome. The present study extends from September 2018 to October 2019 and includes 65 Iraqi buffaloes. All animals were of both sexes with different ages.The study included: 1) Clinical signs : report the clinical signs such as body temperature respiratory and heart rates hair and skin color eye color and photophobia skin thickness pedigree age and sex. 2) Hematological parameters such as red blood cells count platelets counts hemoglobin concentration (Hb%) packed cell volume (PCV%) total leukocytes count (TLC) deferential leukocytes count (DLC) mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) mean corpuscular volume (MCV) mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) and blood smear to detect the abnormal granules in the granulocytes. 3) Molecular study this study consisted of genotyping analysis: polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and restriction fragments length polymorphism (RFLP) bioinformatics study: primer design sequencing and phylogenetic tree finally the gene expression by relative real time PCR (RT-qPCR).
