Cherokee Ration Books 1836-1837-1838 New Echota

<p>This volume offers a copy of the original records taken over three years documenting the rations given to various Cherokee families at New Echota in north Georgia from 1836 through 1838. The various listings give their locations of residents ages and family unit. The side notes are extremely valuable. An index to full names and places is provided at the close of this work listing 4752 names many of which are repeated more than once.</p><p></p>
