About The Book

RONALD MORTENSON wrote this book so that his relatives and others could understand and know more about how their ancestors struggled to overcome obstacles in order to make their new life in America. He lived with both sets of his grandparents in Marathon County Wisconsin before he turned six years old and started grade school. Later in life Ronald was an electronic technician and became a computer programmer while working for IBM.
