'Starting in working-class Glasgow in the 1920s this is the moving story of one woman's life and of a typical Glaswegian family of the time as seen through her eyes. Recalling life in Glasgow in vivid detail through the Depression of the 1930s the Second World War and the aftermath through to life in the 'Little Scotland' steel town of Corby this story mirrors the life of many working-class women and families of the time as they struggle to make a life for themselves through times of hardship while never losing hope of better times to come'.
