China: Africa's New Economic Partner or Coloniser?

Over the past decades China has attain a massive and remarkable economic growth which has lead it to take on international roles as an economic and political power among other well-established world powers. The massive growth of China manufacturing sector has meant the need to source for scarce resources outside of it''s border and African happen to be an important destination for these raw materials to feed this growth. Trade and investment are China''s activities in African countries which has lead western observers to accuse China of neo-colonialism.
