Janet Marabito always wanted to attend Pony Penning. Seeing the world-famous Pony Swim was on her bucket list. So in 2013 for her 80th birthday her family brought her to Chincoteague for Pony Penning renting a condo overlooking the swim. But there is more! Her family surprised her by purchasing a buyback foal for her at auction. When the crowd found out the buyback was for the birthday of an 80-year-old grandma they burst into a chorus of Happy Birthday as she stroked the black and white filly in the ring.
