So she came to the riverbank. Using the yellow clay from the Yellow River she molded a clay figurine. Growing weary from shaping them one by one Nüwa picked up a vine dipped it into the yellow mud and water and lightly swishes it. The mud droplets falling to the ground transformed into little human figures. Just as these little humans began to multiply and labor the sky suddenly ruptured creating a hole. The waters of the celestial river poured down onto villages and farmland. Witnessing this calamity Nüwa was heartbroken. What method did she employ to aid the people trapped in this disaster?</p><p></p><p>Chinese culture is rich and profound boasting countless outstanding traditional stories. How can we tell these Chinese stories and pass on this culture in ways more accessible to children?
