<p>Chords form the harmonic foundation of a piece of music.</p><p>Motherhood is magical. It is also complex and each one of us will have a unique and nuanced experience when it comes to our own journey through early motherhood. This book is a collection of poems which were all born at various times of deep emotion during my own early motherhood days.</p><p>At first these were just my personal outlets of feelings which I thought of keeping to myself. But as I started hearing and sharing the experiences of motherhood with other new mothers I realized that while we all do have our own unique stories there is a lot about the emotional experience of this journey that we all share. Hearing someone being vulnerable and opening-up about an experience similar to ours helps us greatly by making us feel seen and that is exactly what motivated me to share this with you.</p><p>This book is just a thin slice of the various different emotional Chords that make up the music of motherhood for me. I am sure that many of these words will resonate with you like familiar tunes from your own playlist.</p><p></p>
