Christ in Perspective in the Theology of Karl Barth

Karl Barth is the foremost theologian of the twentieth century some would say since Thomas Aquinas.Our understanding of Jesus- our Christology- is crucial to Christian faith. It is the touchstone by which everything else stands or falls and it is at the centre of the present-day theological debate.In this study Professor Thompson brings the two together. He studied at the universities of Dublin Belfast Edinburgh Basle and Tiibingen. For many years a parish minister he commenced lecturing in the University of Dublin in the early sixties and thence moved to a post in the Presbyterian College Belfast in 1970. He has since become its Professor of Systematic Theology.
