<p><a>First published in </a>1930 <i>Church State and Study</i> presents a collection of lectures by Professor Ernest Barker. The first four essays deal with Church and State in history; the fifth is a bridge of transition to the theory and politics of the modern state which are treated in the three subsequent essays; The nineth is another bridge of transition from history and politics to education; and the last three are concerned with different phases of that subject in the university the school and the area of adult education. All the essays may be said in a word to deal with the history or theory of society.</p><p>This is an interesting historical reference work for students of politics and religion.</p>
