<p>You'd think someone with a cursed mark on her wrist would learn to avoid trouble right? Wrong. In Arcadia a city where ancient secrets collide with modern chaos keeping my head down is like trying to outrun my past-it never works. Then comes August the so-called Devil's Hound with eyes like a thunderstorm and an irritating habit of knowing too much. His job? To hunt witches like me. My job? When an ancient relic and a looming curse throw us into a reluctant partnership things go from bad to 'why am I not running in the other direction?' fast. Between the cursed lake trying to drown me a shadowy figure with too many answers and August looking at me like I'm a puzzle he both loathes and needs to solve I'm beginning to think I might be in over my head.
