Civic participation of millennials in the city of Quito

Globally millennials show a low interest in citizen participation and the political system of their countries. In Ecuador there are 3.9 million millennials i.e. people between 24 and 39 years of age which represent 23.2% of the total population being 50.4% women and 49.6% men. With this data millennials or also known as generation Y are a large group of interest at the time of obtaining votes in popular elections and in the future as explained below in the strengthening or weakening of the democratic regime of a country so it is important to know the current situation of young millennials in citizen participation the causes of their active or passive participation in politics that allow rethinking in new ways of doing politics. For this reason the objective of this research corresponds to know those factors that influence the civic participation of millennials in the city of Quito.
