I began my professional career as a teacher. Spending most of my life in classrooms I realized the importance of nurturing young minds. While teaching my students I realized that they have immense potential to be the harbinger of positive changes. However they needed the right guidance and appreciation. In nuclear families the guidance of older generations to incorporate the values of sharing our cultural heritage etc are not available these days. Working mothers have to take care of their work pressure home as well as children. There is little time available to impart values good habits discipline as well as helping them with academics. Somewhere there is a need for “mindful parenting” to guide young parents to achieve this in limited time. I started to write about the children I came across facing challenges in their lives due to various reasons. The stories might remind readers of their own experiences their own children or youngsters they came across. This book will act as a guide to young parents who are at times confused about how to react to a situation at school or home. The book has some practical tips to handle the tumultuous journey of raising a kid with more ease and confidence.
