Cleopatra

Instead of fulfilling his destiny he falls in love with the queen leading to betrayal downfall and tragedy.</p><p>The novel is a mix of historical fiction and Haggard's signature adventurous storytelling similar to his famous <em>King Solomon's Mines</em> but set in ancient Egypt. It reflects Victorian-era views on empire destiny and morality while providing an entertaining and dramatic retelling of Cleopatra's life.</p><p></p>
