About The Book

Despite significant volumes of research on the impact of climate change on production of major crops in this study we pay special attention to looking the climate sensitivity of major rainfed crop yields. To assess the impact of climate change this study has been using the aggregate state-level time series data spanning 1956-2015 for the Telangana state of India to understand the sensitivity of crop productivity to climate change. This study originates rainfed crops viz. Cotton Bajra Redgram and Greengram are more climate sensitive in Telangana. The study also discusses about the rainfall and temperature pattern of the state. Students of Agricultural economics climate change economics and development studies will find the book useful.
