Land use and land cover change have become a central component in current strategies for managing natural resources and monitoring environmental changes. Mapping and monitoring of land use land cover (LULC) changes in a particular area is vital for sustainable development planning and management. The Objective of this paper is to examine the scaling-up effect on the relationship between LULC (land use & land cover) changes which creates a significant impact on LST(land surface temperature)based on the case of SAS (sahibzada ajit singh) Nagar Mohali.GIS is used in this study focused on analyzing the current & predicting the future. This study is being done for the previous decade i.e. 2010-2020. In this study satellite images for 200020102020 were used for LULC supervised classification. The analysis of LST for different LULC classes indicates that temperature falls in the following order: Built-up area Barren Agriculture and then followed by vegetation surfaces. This study will act as a boon for environmental engineers to propose appropriate policies to manage urban landscapes.
