When Nanky a feral tailed girl is almost cast out during a time of drought she is given the option to join a small scouting party searching for food and hope with her fate to be determined by her behavior. As they journey through the ruins of Paris they face terrifying creatures and an eerie enemy: a towering conjoined mutant duo climbing toward the Tower. In the overgrown ruins of Notre Dame the group encounters the Saved-peaceful mutant-like beings who reveal a forgotten connection to the tribe above. With time running out Nanky's presence and the mutants' unexpected humanity force the Tower's survivors to question who the real monsters are-and whether it's safer to stay above or return to the world below.</span></p>
