Clinical management of carbohydrate engorgement in goat

Carbohydrate engorgement is the most common gastrointestinal disorders of goat in Bangladesh. The affected animals are off feed gradually the health condition deteriorates and finally death occurs. This causes a serious economic loss to the farmers. Proper clinical management is important to overcome this problem. Therefore therapeutic efficacy of some drugs; alone or in combination for the treatment of carbohydrate engorgement in goats were investigated along with normal physiology of ruminal function digestive process of goat and prevalence of this disease in Bangladesh have been widely discussed in this book.
