<p><em>Closer to Home</em> is J. Hayes Hurley's sixth hexalogy. In the first novel <em>Gal Friday Week</em> we follow the fortunes of a young woman who works in a modern publishing house. In the second novel <em>Nothingness The Novel</em> we put a Japanese twist on existential thought. In the third novel <em>The Wise and the Learned</em> we give a modern interpretation to Ecclesiastes. In the fourth novel <em>The Anatomy of Small Stuff </em>we follow an obsessed ontology. In the fifth novel <em>A Terribly Long Night in Manhattan </em>the hero allows characters from famous books into his imagination. And in the sixth novel <em>A Reluctant Humanist</em> the hero works his way through all forms of Idealism only to be stuck with human beings as they are.</p><p>J.
