This volume has as proposal a critical analysis of the plot that involves the person who chooses or is submitted to Cochlear Implant Its advances and mishaps. The analysis starts from the observation of groups and communities existing in the virtual environment and culminates in the commercial relationship that interferes in the understanding of the self when one lives the experience of the I.C. However for the analysis to be possible because subjectivity is something that cannot be measured three categories were considered: collective losses love and individual losses. Similarly the subjects were observed as belonging to two groups: bionic ear cyborgs by induction and bionic ear cyborgs by subordination. Both categories start from monitoring after a few years what groups formed by people with cochlear implants think post and talk about themselves.
