Cognitive monitoring of elderly patients

About The Book

The field of Artificial Intelligence in Health has experienced in recent years considerable progress in scientific discoveries about the functioning of the human mind not only through the processing of images generated in very high resolution computerized systems but also through intelligent agents that simulate human abilities in diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions. Artificial Intelligence described in the literature as one of the most promising approaches used in the construction of intelligent agents finds however many challenges to model the dynamism and complexity of human reasoning in environments of this nature. In order to contribute to the performance of cognitive agents modeled to interact dynamically with people especially in technologies aimed at the health area this paper proposes an analysis of the cognitive structures proposed in the approach of intelligent tutors using for this purpose the theoretical conceptions existing in the sociocultural theory of mind.
