Cognitive Processes in Comprehension is a look at what goes on in the mind of the listener or reader when he hears a sentence during a conversation or reads a passage in a book. For most adults comprehension is rapid automatic and effortless. But despite its apparent simplicity comprehension includes a myriad of subprocesses each of which by itself constitutes a formidable computational task.
