Cold stress-induced alterations in thylakoid membrane in cyanobacteria

About The Book

In this book a critical analysis has been made regarding the alterations induced by low temperature in cyanobacterial photosynthesis. Low temperature mainly affects PS-II off cyanobacteria in addition to LHC alterations phycobilisomes. This low temperature alters the energy transfer by acting at the level of phycocayanin a chromo protien involved in energy transfer to PS-II. This cold stress attacks the linker polypeptide of phycocyanin which attachses phycocyanin to allophycocyanin.
