Collection and Services in IARI and GBPUAT Libraries

Mere agricultural university library collection storage and orgnisation of information/ information services are not enough. Therefore the mission of an agricultural library is to serve as a gateway to information and to promote intellectual discovery of its users by building up a need based quality collection of documents. Qualitative collection and effective services maximize the use of library. Therefore in order to deliver the agricultural information at the right times in the right manner for the users the modern agricultural libraries are using different techniques and services. Hence it is important to examine the strength and weakness of techniques collection and services from the point of view of students. This book illustrates the status and usage of collection and services of IARI library and GBPUAT library. This may also be found very helpful by the information professionals working in agricultural libraries who require guidance on the usage of library collection and services.
