Rural Architecture - Lewis Falley Allen was a well-known Buffalon and American farmer merchant and politician (January 1 1800 – May 2 1890). Allen who was Grover Clevelands uncle is credited with exposing Cleveland to the legal and political systems and thereby laying the groundwork for his future election to the presidency. Allen relocated to Sandusky Ohio in 1818 to work for his uncle one of the regions wealthiest landowners. After three and a half years Allen moved back to New England where he and his younger brothers once more worked for their fathers. They sold the company in 1826 and all relocated back to New York.
Old St. Pauls Cathedral - When Herod Agrippa whose demise is described in Acts xii was in power the Romans started systematically conquering Britain. Notwithstanding the fact that Casars account which was published around 80 years earlier makes no mention of London the city was presumably of some significance in those days. Dr. Guest presented evidence supporting the theory that General Aulus Plautius picked London as a favourable location to strengthen himself during the conquest and that being the highest elevation a military station was thus permanently established on the site of the existing cathedral.
