College Chemistry (Including Practicals) As Per CBCS Syllabus Vol. - II

After discussion of different topics in volume I this second volume is an extension of some concepts and introduction of newer concepts in organic inorganic and phsicial chemistry. Study of basics of organic chemistry in volume I is followed by hydrocarbons containing single double and triple bond in alkanes alkenes alkadienes and cyclic alkanes in volume II which are described in detail. It also includes stereochemical aspects of chemical reactions and conformations of cyclic compounds. Inorganic chemistry is extended mainly as covalent bonding-part II which is followed by thermodynamics in details on topics like systems of variable composition first second and third Laws of thermodynamicsGibb痴 and Helmholtz free energy systems of variable composition etc. have been discussed. Detailed study of thermochemistry with solved examples have been given which will make understanding of physical chemistry easy for any B.Sc.(Hons.) student. The theory part is followed by practicals related to synthetic organic reactions volumetric and thermochemistry experiments. The procedure of doing and recording has been made simple for any student to master the experimental skills. Simple fill-in the blanks will be required to record the experiments in practical notebooks of students.
