First published in 1953 this is Miss Deane''s final report on her inquiry into the problems of social accounting in the two territories of Northern Rhodesia and Nyasaland. Amongst other things Miss Deane discusses the purpose of social accounting reviews the territories'' economies and describes experiments in village social accounting.
