Alternative Fuels Suggested Reading Index <b>About the Authors :-</b>Vasudevan Raghavan is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering IIT Madras India. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institute in 2004 after completing his M.E. in Aeronautical Engineering. He also worked as a CFD analyst with TCS Bengaluru before he did his post doctoral research from University of Nebraska-Lincoln USA where he worked on the transient simulation of methanol droplet combustion under microgravity environment. He has graduated 3 PhD scholars 12 MS scholars and 20 M. Tech. students so far. He has authored about 80 international peer reviewed journal articles and around 40 international conference articles. His areas of research include evaporation and combustion of liquid fuel droplets laminar flames flame spread fire dynamics and coal gasification.
