Communication Behaviour of Women Farm Science Club Members

In the context of national development womens’ participation in crop oriented activities is of crucial importance. According to census figures 74.00 per cent of the entire female working forces are engaged in agricultural operations.The task of improving the conditions of farm women acquainting them with new knowledge and bringing about technological changes were tremendous. Under this principle Krishi Vigyan Kendras were established as an intermediary for disseminating the new findings to the farming community through Farm Science Clubs. FSCs were organised exclusively for farmer and farm women. So far no study was made on the participation adoption and communication behaviour of women FSC members. Hence a comprehensive study was taken up in this line.
