Community Health Workers of Pakistan & Their Attrition

Pakistan overall faces a shortage of health professionals but the main problem lies in concentration of existing health personnel in major towns leaving periphery completely neglected. This shortage exists at levels in hierarchy of health professionals. By this work we made an effort to highlight problems faced by Community health workers of Pakistan. These workers are not only an efficient way of delivery of Primary healthcare services but as they cover the periphery well they also improve overall coverage of healthcare.
