About The Book

A non-observational quasi-experimental intervention study was carried out with the objective of increasing the knowledge of mothers about the relationship between environmental conditions and the appearance of diarrheal diseases in children under 5 years of age belonging to the Family Doctor's Office No. 16 of the Frank País García Teaching Polyclinic in Santiago de Cuba during the period from January 1 2020 - December 30 2021. The universe consisted of all mothers of children under 5 years of age belonging to the clinic for a total of 35 patients. With this intervention it was possible to raise the mothers' level of knowledge compared to that which existed at the diagnostic stage thus constituting a very useful tool for the prevention of acute diarrheal diseases in the community.
