Community participation in conservation of Wetland Ecosystems

Wetlands are fragile ecosystems which must be protected at all costs. Indeed the very future of our planet and the survival of millions of species is totally dependent on how we treat the wetlands today. Unfortunately the wetlands have been treated harshly the world over; with abuse ranging from encroachment of riparian land land use conversions to outright destruction of fragile habitats. This book attempts to cover important anthropological aspects surrounding the conservation of the wetlands with a special emphasis of the Ol-bollosat wetland in Nyandarua County Kenya. The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil; but by those who watch without doing anything Albert Einstein.
