In order to meet the changing health-related needs of the society it is high time that we shift from the Traditional mode of education delivery to Compeency Based Medical Education (CBME). This becomes essentially important as multiple merits have been associated with CBME and in many ways it has been found to neutralize the limitations of traditional curriculum. This Scholarly Report covers many important fundamental issues in the CBME and the various things which have to be planned and given due consideration for a better and a smooth implementation. In-fact it is an amalgamation of views of more than 30 FAIMER fellows who all have contributed to a highly enriching discussion and supported the same with facts and images to make it simplified for the novice readers.
